#17 Benjamin "Ben" Mardin

Son of Cheryl and Tim Mardin of Rye, NH.
Born May 28th.        Has a brother Stephen and two sisters Julia and Katie.
Attended Rye Junior High

Plays Soccer and Tennis for St. Thomas.
Member of the Math Team, Lit Club and Yearbook.

2012 - Second Varsity Season as a Senior. Took on the Responsibility of Starting Goal Keeper
            Saved a penalty kick @ Lebanon
            Saved a 1 on 1 break away against Hollis Brookline and again at Souhegan
            Made two 1 on 1 break away saves against Portsmouth during a night game.

             Started as Keeper throughout the play-offs and in the State Division 2 Semi-Finals.
            Earned 3 shut outs and made 122 saves over 19 games.

            Received the Unsung Hero award for his efforts during the season.
            Won the team Sportsmanship award. 
            Earned NHIAA Scholar Athlete award by the NHSCA.

          Received Honorable Mention as a Goal Keeper for Foster's 2012 Boys Soccer Dream Team. 

2011 - First Varsity Season as a Junior. Played as a Defender.

               Member of the team that won a NSCAA Team Academic Award.
