2014 Senior Excellence

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America is pleased to offer its
member coaches the opportunity to recognize an outstanding senior
student-athlete on their team through the presentation of the High School
Senior Excellence Award.
The award was created to allow NSCAA member coaches at the high school level
to recognize an outstanding senior student-athlete in their program, with
the intent of honoring exceptional contributions to the team while
exemplifying the finest attributes of a high school student-athlete.
Selections are to be made based on the following criteria. The
|Be a high school senior
|Have made significant contributions to
|Represent the finest attributes of a team
|Consistently project a positive attitude
|Displays team leadership
|Exemplifies the standards set forth in
the NSCAA Player Code of Conduct and Ethics
The nominating coach MUST be a current NSCAA member. One player may be
nominated in each respective season (boys and girls).
Coach Suleski has been an NSCAA Member Coach since 2000. In his nine years
as varsity boys soccer coach at St. Thomas, Beau is the sixth of
his players to win this award.
In nominating Beau for this award Coach Suleski said:
Beau made the
varsity team as a sophomore. He
was brought up to improve his skills.
His playing time increased each season until he earned a starting
spot his senior year.
He had 1 assist as
a junior and scored his first varsity goal this year and added another
assist. A career total of 4
points. He also earned
"Offensive Player of the Game" honors for scoring the game winning goal
against West. He was a member of one of the NSCAA Academic Award winning
teams. Over his three varsity
seasons he learned to put himself exactly where he needed to be on the
field. He showed great
determination and hustle. He
always let me know he was ready to go right back in whenever he came off the
Beau was also recognized as a NHSCA/NHIAA Scholar
Athlete for being a senior and having a GPA of 3.25 or higher. He
was also a member of the 2012 Team which earned a NSCAA Team Academic Award
and the 2014 team which earned a NSCAA Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Silver
Off the field Beau is an Eagle Scout and has been on
the St. Thomas Student Advisory Board (SAB) for 4 years, he is the president
this year. Beau is applying for an Army ROTC scholarship and plans on
attending college as an ROTC cadet.
